Trapping 101: Basics for
the Beginning Trapper

This 2 day course is held in the off season and is designed for the novice trapper. We will cover the basic tools, processes, and techniques for both land and water trapping.

Day 1: Spent in the fur shed where we will cover topics from trap prep to fur handling.

Day 2: Will be completely in the field on properties I trap year after year. Topics will include set location, construction and maintenance for both water and land trapping.

In this one day course we will cover tools and techniques to increase your profitability and be more efficient.

We will skin, flesh and board an animal covering the process from field to the sale.

Spend a full day on my mixed trap line during season. Pick up some tips and methods that work for me. After we are done on the line we will head to the fur shed to put up the day's catch.
